Ecumenism

We are committed to the unity of Christ’s Body and towards that end we are members of the South East Edinburgh Churches Acting Together (SEECAT). This involves:

Perhaps our most ambitious venture is the sharing of our celebration of Good Friday with Kaimes Lockhart Memorial Church of Scotland, St Barnabas’ Episcopal Church, Liberton Kirk, Tron Kirk Moredun, Liberton Northfield Church of Scotland, St Gregory’s and St Catherine’s. This takes the form of a walk for witness which starts at each of the churches at 10 am and converges at Morrison’s supermarket on Gilmerton Road for an outdoor service just after 11 am. In the afternoon we gather in Gracemount High School at 3 pm for a solemn Celebration of the Passion of Our Lord.
